I founded Tiger Scholars to equip students with the writing skills they need to excel, not only in academics but in every area where clear writing and effective communication are essential.

I hold a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Indiana University and a Master’s in Secondary Education from Loyola University Chicago, along with a TESOL certification. I have taught Advanced Placement (AP) content and understand the academic rigor and expectations students will face as they progress through middle and high school. In addition, my TESOL background has equipped me with specialized training in supporting multilingual learners and a deep understanding of how students acquire and refine academic language.

My expertise lies in helping middle schoolers master the foundational skills of writing—clarity, structure, analytical thinking, and a confident voice—so they are fully prepared for advanced coursework, competitive college admissions, and real-world success.

Middle school is a pivotal time in a student’s academic development. It’s when writing evolves from basic structure to more complex forms of argument, analysis, and evidence-based communication. Students who develop strong writing skills during these years gain a lasting advantage—not just in AP courses, but across every subject that values precision and expression. Without this foundation, students often find themselves struggling to meet the demands of fast-paced, high-expectation environments later on.

As an educator who understands the value many families place on academic excellence, I am committed to delivering instruction that is both rigorous and relevant to your child’s academic courses. My approach combines high standards with personalized support, helping students grow not only as writers but as confident, capable thinkers.

This program is designed to help your child not just keep up—but stand out.
